Directors Simon Bendall and Olivier Ausseil have recently combined Traverse Environmental and Aquanet Consulting after years of close collaboration on freshwater science and planning projects

Across our team we have decades of specialist knowledge and experience.

We assist local, central government, and private sector clients by providing guidance on a broad range of projects including freshwater science technical advice, resource consent processes, water quality monitoring, community and stakeholder engagement, natural hazard and climate change adaptation, catchment planning, freshwater policy development and National Policy Statement on Freshwater Management (NPS-FM) implementation, strategic planning processes and large-scale infrastructure projects.

Our freshwater skills include scientific, technical, and project management services, with a key focus on the application of freshwater quality and ecology science to resource management processes such as environmental monitoring and reporting, policy development and resource consent applications. We provide independent RMA expertise in science and planning and bring legislation, monitoring and compliance requirements and people together.

Logo Symbol

The mountain contour represents the land and surface environment and thus connects to the focus of Traverse Environmental.

The braided rivers are more of an accurate representation of the freshwater focus that Traverse Environmental and Aquanet Consulting  tend to be involved with.

Logotype

Urbane is perfect for headlines and running text, it is clear, classic and authoritative. Unusually for a geometric moderne sans, letter-widths are optically balanced, giving an even colour in setting. Includes a full international character set, lining, tabular and old-style numerals.

The tittle of the lowercase ‘i’ has been removed to create a clear plane between Traverse & Environmental and in doing so, creates a visual uniqueness that allows the logotype to exist on its own.

Lowercase Alignment

Lowercase letters enable the geometrical nature of Urbane to come through and thus enables further alignment with the symbol.

Lowercase can come across as more approachable and casual, allowing clients to feel more connected as they evoke casualness and modernity. Lowercase has also been associated with a view to the future, innovation, playfulness and creativity.
